This dual shaft, dual carriage, magnetically-coupled wobble stick has a secondary shaft that moves with respect to the main linear/rotary shaft and adds versatility. This secondary shaft allows for the opening and closing of jaws, handling flag style sample holders and other motions.

The Model MCTS, Magnetically-Coupled Wobble Sticks are an economical way to perform simple linear/rotary/angular motion within a vacuum system. Robust and reliable, the MCTS reduces the risk of leaks by eliminating the use of edge welded bellows.
Rare earth magnets provide a strong magnetic coupling. The unit is completely UHV-compatible and it is bakeable to 250°C with the external magnet carriage assembly removed.
Standard Wobble Sticks are available with customer specified push-pull linear travel and an angular tilt of ±15 degrees. They can be used to transfer and manipulate sample pucks, stubs, flag-style plates or custom end-effectors.
The secondary shaft of the Model MCTS-LR-L adds versatility allowing the open and close of jaws and other pincher devices. Contact us to discuss custom requirements.
